I am thinking of buying an 855 4wd. My question is will it have enough HP to pull a 6 foot bush hog that is just used to clip pasture? Also, it comes with a 5' belly mower and a front end loader and the price is $5000. It is owned by a friend of mine and I know it has been taken care of. I don't know the hours yet, but it has been used as a lawn mower primarily.
thanks,

I would assume it is 4x4 based on the loader. Price seems great, I would buy it just to resell and make a few dollars. As far as the 6 ' hog, I doubt it could lift it on the 3 point, but maybe just the front and drag it on its tailwheel. As long as the cutting is on the lighter side, it should be OK. With the hydro trans, it is easy to go slowly. ....

No matter how many hours, if it runs well and the major components work, it is a GREAT price. I would have to also agree with what has already been said...a 6 footer will make it work, but if your just "clipping," it should do fine for you. My advice...buy it! ....

An 855 4WD for that price is an outright steal! For that price, I take it that it must be an 1989 or early 90's model. Unfortunately with 19 pto hp. I doubt you will be able to run a 6 ft. rotary cutter. 5 ft. would be pushing it in any type of tall grass or brush. ....
